I hung in there until about 11:30. I'm disappointed I missed that, but it also seems a little anticlimactic, but a WIN is a WIN!

It was before sunset.  See it here.

Also, this was funny.

I've learned a couple of things about college baseball watching more games this season on tv. 1) Foley needs better lighting. When the sun goes down, it looks like a little league field. You can't see shit. 2) they need to change the color of the background of the premium field level suites behind homeplate. When the sun is setting, you can't see the ump. 3) ESPN needs to bring more, better cameras to the park. There are so many reviews and they take forever because the camera positions and the video quality are shit.

I don't know when that happened in the game but unless it would have been the winning score to end the game there is no guarantee that would have won the game for clempson. All fans fall into the same trap pointing to one play in the middle of a game that "robbed" them. If that had been scored a HR who knows what might have happened later in the game? People like to view calls like that in a vacuum and assume the rest of the game would have gone exactly as it did.

I remember a baseball announcer talking about a bad call on a called third strike that ended a game. He called the outrage over it the "myth of the preordained hit". He noted that even if the pitch had been called a ball there was no guarantee that the batter or even the next batter would have gotten a hit to extend the game.

Sorry.  Not sure how I botched that.  I even thought I tested the links after I posted...

Anyway, I've watched that video a dozen times.  It's clearly not clear if it was fair or foul.  I can see where the ball is if it is in front of the pole or behind it, and it only appears in 2 frames, so Clemson fans insisting it was fair and saying it was SEC umpires etc., are just being little bitches (as usual).  The call "stood" after review (wasn't confirmed).  I wonder where the car was in relation to the foul pole.
