Wife and I went on a nice long ride hither and yon. At one point, when on our way home and... man, we were somewhere in Tennessee near the Alabama border, or the other way around, way out in farming country... I was needing to stop and get gas, getting just under 1/4 of a tank and wondering when I'll see a store again. Thankfully, this small gas station/convenience store comes up and I stop for gas. At one of the pumps they had ethanol-free 87 octane. I guess that must be pretty popular for a lot of the farm equipment (?). I decided I'd have that instead of the normal 10% ethanol gas. The price-per-gallon wasn't displayed but I didn't give it any thought. But once I had made the commitment to buy it... yikes... $4.29 per gallon! I figured I'd just go ahead and fill up... just that one time. I can't remember when I've had or even seen gas that did not have ethanol included.
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."
1 Timothy 2:5-6
For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the witness for this proper time.
Acts 4:12
And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

I used to get that for my lawnmower and other lawn tools before I went electric. More expensive but it's better for those small engines.

There are a few places around here that sell ethanol free gas. Interestingly, one of them is a Walmart gas station. People use it for boats, lawn equipment, generators, etc.. It is usually around 50 cents a gallon more than regular unleaded. I guess it costs them to get all that ethanol out of the gas.

There's a limited number of stations that sell that. They're usually in lake areas, because ethanol free is better for boats. I guess farming equipment makes sense too. There are random QTs that have it because it is popular with the landscapers too.
There was a Shell station in Alpharetta that sold 100 octane. A guy I knew with a high performance car would go there and fill up with it.

We have several stations that sell the non-ethanol gas. It's always 75 cents to a dollar more than the 10% ethanol gas.
It's all I use in my small engines; lawnmower, leaf blower, string trimmer, chainsaw and roto-tiller.
All the information with those products recommended the non-ethanol gas to make equipment last longer.
Something in ethanol damages the plastic parts on those small engines.

Also less ethanol free is made/sold…not as much profit there

I bought 5 gallons this morning at the local QT. $4.09 9/10ths per gallon.
Left there, went to Home Depot and bought a gallon of 50-1, 2 stroke fuel for my chainsaw and backpack blower. $23.97 per gallon. Actually...more than that because it's only 110 ounces in the can instead of 128oz in a gallon. One of you college boys can figure out what that really is per gallon. It's 93plus octane, and non-ethanol premixed and my Stihl runs cooler with it.
I don't care about the cost though......if my saw or blower sits for 6 months, I can pick it up and it will still crank right up without me having to fight it for an hour to get it to run, like I did when I ran pump gas and mixed my own.

A few QT's and more than a few Racetracs in 'lanner have gas without ethanol. I always used it in my tailgate generator.

Ethanol is a big racket, nothing but a way for the corn producing states like Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas to hold the rest of us hostage - anyone that wants to be president has to be pro Ethanol. Its about 78% the cost of RBOB gasoline (ie what they blend with Ethanol to make what you get at the pump). Ethanol has about 2/3 of the energy as RBOB, so you are going to get about 5% less MPG if you are using Ethanol 15% blend than if you used the Ethanol free. Not enough to justify buying the Ethanol free, but enough to make anyone with a brain question the logic of making us burn food in our cars.

As I understand it, it also decreases the life of an internal combustion engine or some of its components. They do all of that shit under the guise of better fuel economy and/or less pollution, but I believe that to be absolute bullshit.

Gas at the marina is $6/gal. I’m tired of hauling that shit to the dock at my age but DJD.

Smart thang to do, I'm sure. Sounds like it is the thing one SHOULD do with that type of equipment.
