Shoulda never let him go. Who woulda thought Ted woulda sold out early to PC chit. That commie p must have been too powerful for him

Didn't realize Levi died around Thanksgiving last year. I hope he has an eternal banquet of baked ham in the Happy Hunting Grounds.

Ernie, Skip and the Chief from '85. Great announcing, bad Braves baseball.

Ted was married to Hanoi Jane. She refused to do the chop at the WS. It’s sad and unfortunate but not surprising that he got rid of the Indian mascot.

Pour one out for Levi.  Lord knows he wants it.  He used to sit up in that tipi and pickle his liver, from what I understand.  Amazing he didn't fall over the railing into the bleachers.

The sucky Braves were the most fun Braves.  I remember going to a Sunday afternoon game in July of '83.  It was as hot as the surface of the sun and there were maybe 2000 people in AFCS.  A huge thunderstorm came through around the 4th inning and dumped about an inch of rain in 20 minutes.  The ground crew couldn't get the infield completely covered before the bottom fell out so the infield was soaked.  They brought in a helicopter to hover over the field and dry the infield so play could resume.

That sort of thing would never happen today.

Nah, low expectations for the Braves made for enjoyable days at the ball park.  The Braves were so bad back then you couldn't really get upset about anything they did.  The strike put me off of MLB pretty much for good so I don't care what happens with any of them now.  I enjoy minor league and college baseball much more than MLB.

I am optimistic about Wes Johnson.  It looks like he has the Diamond Dawgs playing good baseball.  If he can recruit well, we should start to become the baseball power we should have always been.  Mike White has earned one more season with his recruiting and portal moves before I really start lobbying for walk on basketball so the baseball team can get those basketball scholarships.
