The No. 7 Georgia women's tennis team advanced to the NCAA Tournament semifinal after completing a 4-1 upset victory over No. 2 Stanford at the Greenwood Tennis Center on Friday. Georgia has now advanced to the NCAA Tournament Semifinal for a second-consecutive season, doing so this season with first-year head coach Drake Bernstein leading the Bulldogs back to the final four. The Bulldogs now improve to 4-2 against top-25 ranked opponents this season, extending their winning streak against ranked opponents to four matches. The tandem of Mell Reasco and Anastasiia Lopata clinched the doubles point for Georgia, improving to 12-1 on the season since pairing up on court three doubles. Despite falling 3-6 in the first set, No. 70 Anastasiia Lopata won 12 of the following 14 games to comeback and clinch her singles match 3-6, 6-1, 6-1. The Bulldogs now extend their winning streak to 11 matches, outscoring their opponents 47-5 with seven wins coming via sweep. Georgia will now prepare to face off against No. 6 Pepperdine in the NCAA Tournament semifinal on Saturday, May 18 at 4 p.m. CT at the Greenwood Tennis Center. No. 13 Texas A&M beat No. 5 Virginia 4- 1 and No. 16 Tennessee beat No. 8 UCLA 4- 3 in the other bracket. Almost all SEC final four. The Georgia gals got a real chance to win it all if they get past Pepperdine. They done won the SEC twice this year in regular season and SEC Tournament.

Georgia advances to play Liberty on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Jack Turner Stadium for a regional final berth. Charlotte and UNCW will square off in the first elimination game at 1:30 p.m. The winner will advance to Game 5 and will face the loser of Game 3 between Georgia and Liberty set for a 4 p.m. start.
The eighth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs saw their nine-game winning streak end Friday, falling to Florida 7-4 in 10 innings at Foley Field. Georgia (39-13, 17-12 SEC) will wrap up the regular season and series against Florida Saturday. First pitch is set for 2:02 p.m. ET.
Sixteen women and 13 men will make the trip to Lexington, Ky., next week for the NCAA East Prelims in Track & Field, according to an announcement from the NCAA. The NCAA East Prelims begin on Wednesday and run through Saturday. The top 12 finishers from each individual event and relay will advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., on June 5-8.
