I went to the SEC website to look at the tourney bracket for baseball.

I are puzzled. This isn't like any standard bracket I've seen. Maybe it is just how they have it pictured on the website. Maybe I need more coffee.

Mind boggled, has to do with the double elimination nature of the tournament after the first round.

It is confusing, 2 main factors contributing to it IOM.  One, first day of games are single elimination.  Two, after day 2 games, they flip the timeslots.  Teams playing in the morning day 1 and 2 now play in the afternoon and vice versa.

Yep. That is one crazy bracket. I wonder who thought up those details and they all sat around a table discussing it and came to a decision to implement it?
