The duo of Aysegul Mert and Dasha Vidmanova etched their names in Georgia women's tennis history, winning the NCAA Doubles National Championship after knocking off the No. 1 ranked tandem of Savannah Broadus and Janice Tjen (Pepperdine), 7-6(4), 2-6, (11-9), at the Greenwood Tennis Center on Saturday.They became the first Bulldog tandem in Georgia women's tennis history to be crowned NCAA Doubles National Champions.Anastasiia Lopata's epic run in the NCAA Singles Tournament came to an end just one match short, falling in the national championship match 6-4, 5-7, 3-6 to No. 8 Alexa Noel (Miami). Lopata became the lowest ranked player to ever reach the NCAA Singles Final.

The No. 11 national seed Georgia softball team concluded the 2024 season Friday evening at Eaton Stadium, dropping a 6-1 decision to No. 6 UCLA. Georgia concludes the season with a 43-19 record in its 13th Super Regional appearance in program history.

For the first time since 2019, the University of Georgia baseball team will serve as one of 16 regional hosts for the 2024 NCAA Baseball Tournament, the selection committee announced Sunday night.The three other teams that will join the Bulldogs at the Athens Regional will be announced on Monday, May 27 at noon ET on ESPN2/ESPNU when the entire field of 64 including the top 16 seeds is released. Also, a complete Athens Regional schedule will be released Monday afternoon. Regional competition is scheduled to take place at Foley Field from Friday-Monday, May 31-June 3.

Aaliyah Butler (400-meter dash), Elena Kulichenko (high jump), and the 4x400-meter relay team of Butler, Kimberly Harris, Sydney Harris, and Haley Tate all took home regional titles at the NCAA East Prelims on Saturday as the Georgia women's track and field team qualified eight more individuals and two relays for the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Over two days of competition, the Lady Bulldogs compiled 14 qualifications from 14 athletes. Three individual Bulldogs and one Georgia relay team secured NCAA Outdoor Championship berths on the final day of competition for the men at the NCAA East Prelims on Friday. Freshman Riyon Rankin was one of two high jumpers to clear 2.17 meters/7 feet, 1.50 inches on his first attempt, tying for first place in the event. In total, eight Bulldog men qualified for the NCAA Championships across seven events between Wednesday and Friday, including four event qualifiers today.Georgia's men's and women's track and field teams will conclude the 2024 season at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., from June 5-8. The site will also play host to the U.S. Olympic Trials later that month, which will run from June 21-30 at the Hayward Field facility.
