Kirby Smart and Georgia secured their highest-ranked commitment in the class of 2025 on Wednesday afternoon when in-state linebacker Zayden Walker, the No. 15 overall prospect and No. 2 outside linebacker in the 2025 ESPN 300, picked the Bulldogs over Miami and South Carolina, among others. The Schley County (Ga.) star chose the Bulldogs coming off his official visit. Walker, the No. 2 linebacker in the country on 247Sports, is the first public commitment to come out of the big weekend in Athens. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound linebacker has been one of Georgia's primary targets for several years now. Walker has visited Georgia at every turn, and he hasn't hidden his love for Georgia along the way. After inking the No. 1 signing class in the 2024 cycle, Georgia stands at No. 13 in ESPN's latest team rankings in 2025. The Bulldogs reach 10 commitments in the class and jump up six spots to No. 9 in the 247Sports Class of 2025 rankings, slotting in between Alabama and Penn State. In Walker, Kirby Smart & Co. have a cornerstone commitment to build on as they seek to secure their ninth consecutive top-three class.

Athlon Sports has included six Georgia players among its three Preseason All-America squads. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck, offensive lineman Tate Ratledge, and safety Malaki Starks were included on the first team; linebacker Mykel Williams was included on the second team; and offensive lineman Earnest Greene and punter Brett Thorson were included on the third team.

Georgia track and field graduate transfer Marc Minichello collected the second javelin title of his career to highlight the opening day of action at the NCAA Outdoor Championships Wednesday. Minichello, a native of West Pittston, Pa., earned his third expected First Team All-America certificate in the event and his second javelin crown after also placing first for Penn in 2022. His championship is the first for the Bulldogs in the event after school record holder Chris Hill went back-to-back in 2008-09. Also in the throws, graduate transfer Alex Kolesnikoff recorded the first expected outdoor First Team All-America certificate in the shot put to three more points on the scoreboard for the Bulldogs. Georgia has scored 13 points and is second place behind USC (19) after the first day of competition.  California (12.5), Kansas (12) and Ole Miss (12) make up the rest of the top five.

Georgia's All-America third baseman/outfielder Charlie Condon has been named a finalist for the 2024 Golden Spikes Award, USA Baseball announced Wednesday. Condon, the 2024 SEC Player of the Year, is one of three student-athletes up for the award which is given annually to the nation's top amateur baseball player. Condon becomes the fifth Bulldog in school history to be named a finalist, joining pitcher Cris Carpenter (1987), pitcher/designated hitter Derek Lilliquist (1987), pitcher Dave Fleming (1990) and shortstop Gordon Beckham (2008). Fan voting will again play a part in the Golden Spikes Award in 2024. Baseball fans can vote for their favorite player on GoldenSpikesAward.com, beginning today until June 21.

The seventh-seeded Bulldogs who are 42-15 and begin a Super Regional Saturday versus 10th-seed N.C. State at Foley Field.

Good morning, TRD and Dawg brothers and sisters! Today is yet another gift from God!
John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

1 Timothy 2:5-6

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the witness for this proper time.

Acts 4:12

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
