My last couple years in Athens I think every tv everywhere you went was on MTV pretty well constantly.

Just read the date of the last video... today's trivia.
Nov 16th, 2008 was the last episode of TRL which was the last show on MTV that actually played music videos. btw ... don't axe me what TRL stands for ... no idear

They got all weird soon after with shows like "The Real World" or something along those lines. The proverbial "pinnacle" of that show (for we Rockmartians) was one time when they had some guy who was supposed to be from Rockmart and he was... well, quite proud, let's say. And his personna was all about how bad it was to grow up in such a backwards, bigoted area, and all of the trials of life he had to endure. |
