I don't think so. I took golf as a PE in the early '80s and the course was called "The University Golf Course". It was built in 1968 so unless it was named something different after 1983, I think it has always been named the same thing.

I have one of those same bag towels that I bought at the UGA Golf Club House in the 80s. Don't think that was ever an official name.
