Golf ball sized malignant mass between his colon and rectum.
He probably put it off a little longer than he should have based on what he told me, but I hope they caught this thing early enough.

I hate that for him. Hope they found it in time to get everything and it hasn't spread anywhere else.
I had my first one at 55, doc told me he suggested having one at 50 and insisted at 55. I was all good thank God. I don't think he waited too long. In fact, I think he's lucky he went ahead and did it when he did. Most people I know are at least 50 when they have their first one.

They changed guidance on that to 45 a couple of years ago. Probably because they keep pumping our food with bullshit and increasing things like sugar substitutes and who knows what else...
I had my first one last year. Had to go back for a second visit, but it's nothing. I'm on a five year schedule.
He's in good shape. Runs 5Ks and 10Ks and wins his age bracket. They said his lymph nodes were swollen in the area, but that's to be expected. They said he had a 6mm spot on his liver, but it's too early to make a conclusion on that. He's having a time coping right now, but I talked him up best I could. He's down in Warner Robins, so hopefully he gets connected to good doctors.

I just had my first one last month after turning 60. I did the Cologuard test every three years after 50 before now.
Three polyps. Benign. Repeat in three years.

I eat no artificial sweeteners or any "fake butter". I went back for my second one after 5+ years and they told me I was good for 10 years. I've decided to eat what my grandparents ate and let the chips fall where they may. I have high blood pressure but it is controlled, low cholesterol, blood sugar is good. I could stand to lose about 20 pounds but my doc isn't worried about it at all.
You can't outrun genetics so I try not to worry too much about things.

Had my first one at 38 due to severe IBS. Came back clean as a whistle. Had my 2nd at 48 due to it being 10 years and over 45. 3 benign polyps. From now on I'm now on the 5 year screening plan.
