Rising senior Luca Urlando sealed his likely first career Olympic bid with his second-place time of 1:55.08 in the men's 200-meter butterfly at the 2024 United States Olympic Swimming Trials at Lucas Oil Stadium.
ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg doesn’t see the Bulldogs falling off any time soon. Rittenberg felt very comfortable slotting Georgia into his No. 1 spot in his future power rankings for ESPN, which attempts to account for not just the upcoming 2024 season but the next three seasons as well. Behind Georgia in Rittenberg’s power rankings was Ohio State at No. 2, Texas at No. 3, Alabama at No. 4 and Michigan at No. 5. Georgia will face Texas and Alabama in each of the next two seasons.
Pro Football Focus has ranked the Georgia Bulldogs as the No. 1 team in their 2024 college football power rankings. Georgia has the highest chance to win a national championship in the country according to PFF. In fact, Georgia’s 18.95% chance to win a national title is more than double any other team.
