Honored to attend. Did dishes Friday Night Sunday Morning and Sunday afternoon to fulfill my volunteer obligations. Special Gal spent time with me but she is proving to be too much to handle for TRD, pic violation. But here are some secret images, hope I don't get banned for showing the HOTD what an incredible 42nd annual event this has become.
Cat eyes and Woman eyes. Sandy beach "downtown" stage right next to Mountain Lake.
Kitchen side and coffee bar side of "Downtown". Man fell off roof to require crutches if you was wondering.
Sweet Melissa and Soul Detergent played back stage (Would Stage) way back in woods. No. I never heard of them either. But the guitar was exquisite and the gals sang their hearts out. Bought a $100 original painting from lead singer, Rachel, who proves to be multi talented, just had a baby. Singer Artist Mama.
Her lead guitar player wrote an original song with strong riff and solid Jam "Hate is a Crime".
My new favorite duo Dawn Loves Nash. "Now Now Now that's where it's at". They brought in an excellent Guitar picker from Gainesville Florida, That Gator can liven up a campfire. Shoes were sparse this event as they played the matinee.
Get too hot, meander down to lake for quick refresh. Sweet Melissa in left image as guy struggles to see around her. She can really sing though, like Mama Cass.
TRD spent a lot of time in the pond. Drenched in sweat, this old earth is really heating up.
Naked babies like Woodstock. Daughter made a sand castle with one of the naked baby twins as the flag gal, Shaina, from ICU twirled behind her.
TRD Boogied himself to death to the Creedence Clearwater and Little Feat tribute Songs Saturday and today. And of course Grateful Dead all night past midnight. Started a hoe down weave with all these gals plus some, this afternoon. Life is a Gas.
Quite the Scene. Late night Drum Circle, wore myself out on my Bongos after 30 minutes. Definite PIC Violation with Peaches twirling the fire baton. Just woke up middle of night after a deep Sunday afternoon slumber tuned into a full crash. My crazy Rock and Roll Days were never THIS crazy.
TRD was really in his element. Too bad I've gotten old and fat, I really dug my hippie girlfriend, Keren, beats the Hell out of watching Hallmark Movies and weekend sports on TV. 50 + bands, great way to spend the off seasons I have left.
Back to your regularly scheduled HOTD chatter. Will try to have A new TRD GNW next week, gotta slow down some.
