Pretty good. All star cast of internet sports comedy actors there. Maybe they will help them write some new storylines instead of rehashing the old hospital bits and Hope bits 7 times a season...

When you think about it, there's really only so much you can do with SEC football as a subject matter for comedy skits.

I have to be honest... I've liked SEC expansion from the outset. I love the South and I love the history, blemishes and brilliance, both. We're no different than any other place throughout the history of mankind. Seeing us take in South Carolina, Missouri... both true Southern states.... and then Arkansas and Texas A&M (Texas A&M's first president, Gen. L.S. Ross, commanded all of the cavalry regiments that fought out near Van Wert, which is present-day Rockmart). Now we are adding Texas and Oklahoma (the last Confederate general who surrendered his troops was Rome-born Cherokee Gen. Stand Watie, who commanded the Cherokee Rifles which was based out of Oklahoma... Ross commanded 3 Texas cavalry units when fighting near Van Wert). Regardless of how we feel about it... they belong in the Southeastern Conference. This just "completes" the SEC, in my opinion.

I have no clue what the future holds for college football. Shoot, look at the Big-whatever, with west coast teams included. I guess that awakens the echoes of the old Rose Bowl setup they had for decades. These expansions don't concern me ANYWHERE near as much as does all of the NIL hysteria. The pendulum has swung WAY too far on that one, and something has got to be done to reel it back in a bit. Whatever comes, I do like the idea of a full Southern map of the greatest college football conference in the history of the game itself. Brang it on, I say.

Bring on the competition.  It will make whatever thread of true sport is still left in college athletics fun to watch until that thread breaks...

I think NC and VA would complete the band, now that OK and TX are in the clubhouse.

Yes! Just go ahead and add them, and then we'll just have our own league, own championship, etc., and then our champion can play against "those people's" champion at the end.

True. Just make it as awesome as possible while it still can be awesome. 'Cause at the current rate, the day is coming when it ain't.
