Not bad at all. You'd be surprised at how the incorrect sizing and placement of the return air can really make a difference in how well your system runs. That, and the incorrect sizing of the actual HVAC system and even ductwork.

Just because a person holds a license to perform the installation/repairs, does not mean they are professionals.

I set my thermostat at 74-75 depending on how I'm feeling at the time.

When my downstairs system was replaced 5-10 years ago, the return was an immediate issue that the installers pointed out. To sort of knock out two birds with one stone, they added an additional return in my finished basement, which GREATLY improved the overall air flow of the entire system, and it also helps to pull air through the area of finished basement.

The air coming out of the vents downstairs was immensely improved, solely because they opened up the volume of air being pulled through the return portion of the system.
John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

1 Timothy 2:5-6

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the witness for this proper time.

Acts 4:12

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

July through Sept, utility bills in high $200 to low $300 depending upon outside temperature.  June 2024 was unusually warm early in the summer season.
