for you guys. It’s been 18 long years since I’ve been to a game in Athens, primarily because I accepted a job promo with my company that required a move to Dublin. I was 38 at the time and the adventure sounded great, and proved to be just that. But my wife and I began missing home (and American healthcare) and, after accepting a demotion, lol, moved back to the good ol’ USA in March.
We’ve taken up temporary residence in Blue Ridge to see if that’s a place we could call home. Which brings back to Athens. Are fans still able to stay in the Classic Center, or is it more just for parking? Their website is a little confusing. They offer “events”, but what I’m trying to put together is kind of a welcome back party for myself, lol, by inviting 9-12 of my closest friends, primarily children and family members. I can’t find an AirBnB big enough to accommodate us all and other options are so exorbitantly expensive, it almost seems not worth the effort. If anyone has any suggestions, this older guy sure would appreciate your input. I’m thinking about the Miss St game, or any game really where the prices might be a little more affordable than say the TN game. Thank you so very much for any input you might have.
Sincerely,
Richard Branton aka Dublin Dawg
