foot and tore some ligaments. Will know Thursday if surgery is the only option. There was a snake at the bottom of our last step on the deck and she was about to go down it when she saw it mid-step and jumped over it. Landed wrong and then kept runnin' (kinda LOL). That's what prolly injured the broke metatarsal more. I ran out after I heard a scream. Never saw the snake but had a time getting her back inside and in a chair. Had to give her half of one of my oxycodones. She was right as the mail by the time we made it to x-ray. Gonna be a long haul to heal. And DAMMITT, I just get to where I can play golf again with her and this happens. We play with another couple about 3 times a month. Also gonna keep us from going to the beach next month. Can't put weight on it for 6 weeks or more. Shit! We ain't been on vacation all year.

That sucks. At least the whiting are safe. Went to the Bahamas for big game fish last week. Caught 25 baracuda. Biggest waste of money ever.

That does blow a bigun'. Small cuda are pretty good eatin'. Don't want to eat the big ones and risk ciguatera poisoning tho.

Broke my foot in three places in December, plate and 9 screws to repair one of them - still rehabbing 7 months later. Get in-home PT ASAP, before leg and core muscles atrophy. Good luck!!

The good stories are always on HOTD. I forget who it was several years ago who said he pulled over to the side of the road on I-16 to look at something in the sky... can't remember if it was a rocket launch down at Cape Canaveral or some big thing that everyone was talking about. But he said he was standing there looking and realized he was standing in an ant bed and ants were getting all over him. Heh-heh...
On a serious note... dang, I bet that hurt your wife. But for a few seconds, at least, her doing the Six Million Dollar Man sound effect over that snake, she probably didn't feel anything.

Sorry to hear, hope she gets pain relief asap! Broke my 5th metatarsal last Sept. Ortho/sports medicine Doc said he sees about 6 a week. So at 76, healing takes a little longer…7 months for me…5 in the boot, but I’m good to go now….Good luck to her!

Geeze 'o Pete! Well, it'll give you a chance to wait on her and help out on a lot of things. Could be worse. It coulda been you.
So sorry, tell her the HOTD loves her and wishes her a quick recovery.
