Oh man... I have some of their music on my PC from probably 20-25 years ago.

I started to say, "How terrible", and in an earthly sense it is tragic. But in the true sense of reality, just think of where they are, and the fact that every single one of them went together. They have been singing about heaven for decades. Most of their entire lives have been focused on THAT very one true hope, and that is eternity with the One who makes it all possible. There is no more sin where they are, and they will never again have to deal with sin. It doesn't even exist. I can't wrap my mind around that. It is now full reality for them.

The tragedy is our loss, not theirs. But, the Lord made provision for us to have recordings so that we can still sing with them until it is our turn to go. It isn't tragic for them, not one bit.

I know one thing... more and more that I spend days upon this earth, I'm ready to go. But I totally get what the apostle Paul said in his letter to the church at Philippi.... Philippians 1:21-24:

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know what I will choose. But I am hard-pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better, yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.

I think about my wife, my kids and my grandkids and whomever else the Lord has given for me to serve. I want to help them. But, at the same time, I have the faith and trust to know that when it is my time to go, He'll take care of those things.

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

1 Timothy 2:5-6

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the witness for this proper time.

Acts 4:12

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
