What a bullshit article. Dude published it 5 days ago. I wonder if he'll follow up now that Rara is gone, suggesting it was his idea, and it's about time Kirby came to his senses. I think the fact that they let him sit in jail was the writing on the wall, and he was done, but taking a reasonable amount of time to hear the story, and tell him face to face that he's gone is the right thing to do. Not kick him off via the press.

Is he suggesting that Kirby also kick players off the team for getting misdemeanors for these speeding/racing things? Does anyone do that currently? Does anyone else on any other team race or get caught racing or speeding? Is the ACCPD the only PD that is willing to enforce laws on the athletes in the town for which they are responsible, or are our guys the only ones that the press goes after?

Excellent post…

I’ve always said, in the new NIL game, every school has some hot rodders, they apparently only pull people over in Athens..

The players are adults. Let them deal with the consequences of their actions through the courts like all other adults have to do. Kirby isn't their father and isn't responsible for their behavior any more than Jere Morehead is in any way responsible for the behavior of any other student (who are also all adults in the eyes of the law). If the players run afoul of any university rules, they should face the same disciplinary system all other students face.
