The University of Georgia men's golf team will open its 2024-25 season at the Island Resort Intercollegiate at the Sage Run Golf Club in Bark River, Michigan. The 12-team tournament, hosted by South Dakota State, will consist of three rounds: two on Sunday, Sep. 1 and one on Monday, Sept. 2. The Bulldogs lineup will consist of junior Carter Loflin, senior Buck Brumlow, sophomore Camden Smith, freshman Matt Moloney, and graduate George Langham.  Freshman James Earle will be competing as an individual. The tournament marks the first of five fall tournaments for Georgia.

Georgia's cross country teams opened their respective seasons at the Stan Sims Cross Country Opener on Friday, placing second as a team in both the men's and women's races as Ryan Olree posted an individual runner-up finish. The Georgia men competed in the 4-mile race to kick off the meet, placing four Bulldogs in the top 10 to finish second in team scoring with 37 points. The women followed in the 5k, tallying 57 points to finish second after winning the tiebreaker with Kennesaw State.

Sophomore outside hitter Bianna Muoneke led the 25th-ranked Georgia volleyball team to a five-set win over UC Santa Barbara in Friday's season opener (20-25, 25-13, 25-16, 27-29, 15-13). Muoneke, a transfer from Texas A&M, tallied a career-high 23 kills on a .438 hitting efficiency with 10 digs and two blocks with two aces, tallying 26 points in her Georgia debut.

A total of 58 former Bulldogs are part of NFL organizations as teams finalized their initial 2024 roster and practice squad this week. A total of 46 former Bulldogs made the final 53-man rosters across the league with an additional 12 former Bulldogs signed to practice squads or placed on injured reserve or the physically unable to perform list. These former Bulldogs will look to continue the current 23-year streak of at least one Georgia player being on a Super Bowl roster, which is tied for the longest active streak in college football.
