It runs off the CFP rankings which have Liberty ranked 24. Tulane is not ranked in their top 25.

And starting next year, G5 gets one of the 12 playoff spots. It's welfare, plain and simple. I would rather just pay them a welfare payment, tell them to run along, and seed a more worthy team in that last spot.
