A four-goal thriller met with a combined 41 total shots and 16 saves between both sides saw the University of Georgia soccer team (5-3-4, 1-1-2 SEC) earn a 2-2 draw against Alabama (7-2-4, 0-0-4 SEC) before a season-high 2,012 spectators at the Turner Soccer Complex Sunday.
  • Graduate midfielder Amber Nguyen recorded her first point of the season, scoring a 30th minute goal to level the match at 1-1 only three minutes after Alabama's opening score.
  • Graduate forward Margie Detrizio notched her seventh goal of the season, tallying a 57th minute equalizer to bring the score to 2-2.
  • Sophomore midfielder Summer Denigan provided an assist on Detrizio's goal, marking her fourth of the season.
  • Junior goalkeeper Jordan Brown recorded 10 saves on the day, marking her second double-digit save performance of the season (14 against Florida State).
  • The Bulldogs set a new season-high in attendance with 2,012 spectators in attendance at the Turner Soccer Complex.
Georgia will travel for a one-match road trip where it will face Oklahoma for the first time ever on Friday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. EDT in Norman.

The No. 28-ranked Bulldog women's golf team is set to join a field of 11 ranked teams at the Windy City Collegiate Classic, hosted by Northwestern University, on Monday. Georgia will open competition with 36 holes of continuous play at the Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette, Ill., on Monday before competing in the tournament's final round of 18 holes on Tuesday. The tournament kicks off at 8:30 a.m. EDT on Monday, with Georgia teeing off from hole No. 1 in nine-minute intervals between 10:00-10:36 a.m. Georgia is one of 15 teams set to compete in a stacked field in Wilmette, which features 11 ranked teams. Four top-10 squads will tee off at the tournament, including No. 2 USC, No. 4 UCLA, No. 7 Wake Forest, and No. 8 Northwestern. Additionally, No. 11 Oregon, No. 12 South Carolina, No. 14 Arizona State, No. 15 Virginia, No. 16 Duke, and No. 19 Arizona will join the No. 28 Bulldogs as the ranked schools competing at the Westmoreland Country Club. Rounding out the field are Augusta, Illinois, Iowa State, and Purdue.

The Georgia men's tennis team's involvement at the ITA Men's All-American Championships in Tulsa, came to a close as Thomas Paulsell fell in the consolation semifinals at the Michael D. Case Center on Sunday.
