Yeah. This has the potential to really have a huge impact to us. Every company is going to start talking about supply chain delays again like they did during/after COVID.

I work in the logistics industry. Yes, it will be a mess.
No coincidence that its in a election year, either. Nobody wants to piss off the unions, so Prez won't step in. they knew that.

I don't think most people get how essential they are to the economy.

50% wage increase isn't good enough? Understand they are asking for over 70% over a 4-5 year period.

That's a lot. I wonder if this has to do with the crazy levels of inflation, suppressed pay increases in past years, something like that? Honest question/thought, because I truly don't know. I know how it has been with my employer for the past 10+ years. Ungood.

Yep. About to get ugly.
Hurricanes, Ports closed, and on the door step of WWIII. UnGood times.
This port thing is a full blown disaster on its own if they don’t figure out how to fix it.

The only potential "silver lining" that I see possible is by way of the fact that we're talking about goods being brought in from China and all of these other suppressed low-wage countries. If there are domestic alternatives available, then I hope someone takes advantage of this opportunity to promote domestic goods.
