Georgia women's Soccer, now ranked 34th in the NCAA RPI rankings, returns to the road to face RPI #20 Oklahoma Friday evening in Norman. Friday's match is the first-ever meeting between Georgia and Oklahoma, as well as the Bulldogs' first athletic event this season against one of the SEC's newest additions. Georgia enters the matchup following a pair of ties last week against Kentucky and Alabama, while Oklahoma split its contests by also tying the Wildcats and falling at LSU. Georgia hosts No. 7 Mississippi State in a critical battle next Thursday, Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Turner Soccer Complex.

The University of Georgia has been selected to host the 2027 NCAA Men's and Women's Tennis Team Championships and the 2027 NCAA Gymnastics Regional, according to an announcement by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Georgia is already scheduled to host the NCAA men's and women's tennis team championships in 2026, giving Athens the championships in back-to-back years for the first time since 2000-01.

Maxwell Football Club Director, Mark Wolpert, announced that Herschel Walker has been selected as the winner of the 20th MFC Legends Award. Walker is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, was an All-American track and field athlete at Georgia, and also competed in the two-man bobsled at the 1992 Winter Olympics.
