Woof™..........

Georgia, now ranked 29th in the NCAA RPI rankings, faces its fourth top-10 opponent of the season as it welcomes No. 4 Mississippi State to Athens for a critical SEC matchup. Georgia enters on a four-match unbeaten streak, while Mississippi State has won seven straight since losing to No. 3 Wake Forest on Aug. 25 in Winston-Salem. Although Georgia leads the overall series, 16-4-2, the last two matchups have both resulted in hard-fought draws. Mississippi State is the highest-ranked opponent to play at Turner since No. 5 Alabama prevailed, 2-0, in 2022. Georgia is looking for its first win over a top-5 opponent since beating No. 5 LSU in 2021, and the first at home since besting No. 4 Texas A&M on Sept. 27, 2015. During its program history, Georgia is 3-18-1 against top-5 opponents.

The University of Georgia is now set to host the ITA Men's Tennis Southeast Regional Championships at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex from Wednesday, Oct. 16 through Sunday, Oct. 20. Originally slated to take place in Lake Nona, Fla. at the USTA National Campus, impending weather from Hurricane Milton prompted the hosting change. The Dan Magill Tennis Complex will see select Bulldogs face student athletes from Florida Atlantic University, Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida State University, Georgia Southern University, Georgia State University, Georgia Tech University, Kennesaw State University, Mercer University, Stetson University, the University of Central Florida, the University of Florida, the University of Miami, the University of North Florida and the University of South Florida.

EDMOND, Okla. — Dasha Vidmanova and Anastasiia Lopata advanced at the International Tennis Federation W75 Edmond after securing main draw first round victories at the Edmond Centre Court on Wednesday. Coming off a dominant win in the qualifying second round on Tuesday, Vidmanova picked up right where she left off, taking control of the match early before securing a 6-1, 6-3 win over No. 1 seed and WTA #158 Lucrezia Stefanini. Earning a main draw selection, Lopata returned to action and produced a stellar performance, cruising past the WTA #306 Madison Sieg, 6-2, 6-1, in straight sets. Both players will return to action in the main draw second round on Thursday as Vidmanova is set to face fellow qualifier Jiangxue Han while Anastasiia Lopata will take on the No. 3 seed and WTA #171 Lanlana Tararudee.
