Recently started feeling bad (10 days ago) and went to the doctor and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  Additional tests revealed it had spread to his liver and kidneys.  He passed away last night around 10:40 PM.

That's terrible. How old was he? Pancreatic Cancer is one of the worse types of cancers. They all suck.

Terrible. I work with a guy who has pancreatic cancer right now. He is lucky in that his was in the upper pancreas so the tumor blocked his bile duct and he had symptoms before it was really too late to do anything. He has been on chemo for a few months and is having surgery in February. The outlook isn't great even with surgery. Only like 25% of people who have the surgery survive for 5 years.

The doctors told him most people have no symptoms at all until it is very late and has spread throughout the body and death within a couple weeks of diagnosis is pretty common. My coworker's mother in law was diagnosed with it and died 12 days later.

I despise cancer and especially pancreatic cancer with a passion. Took out 3 of mom's uncles in a 3 year period when I was in my 20s.

Pancreatic cancer is treatable if it is found early on, sadly that rarely happens. That is terrible, prayers for his family.
