AUBURN, Ala. – Graduate midfielder Nicole Vernis' first career brace powered the University of Georgia soccer team (7-4-6, 3-2-4 SEC) to a 2-2 draw against No. 13 Auburn (12-1-4, 4-1-4). Vernis put Georgia on the board at both ends of the match, scoring in the second minute off an assist from sophomore midfielder Devon Winters and with 25 seconds left via a service from junior defender Cate Hardin. The North Palm Beach, Florida native has now scored in consecutive matches after going scoreless for the first 15 contests of the season. Georgia closes its regular season against Texas on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. EDT at the Turner Soccer Complex.

ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia Athletic Association has officially unveiled its new $38.5 million softball training facility at Jack Turner Stadium. The new facility features more than 20,000 square feet of student-athlete development space, including a four-lane batting cage with a full practice turf infield, weight room, locker room, team lounge and nutrition space, video room, an athletic training room, as well as a mud room and equipment room.

HILTON HEAD, S.C. — In a meeting between two Bulldogs, Anastasiia Lopata came out victorious in what was a three-set battle against Dasha Vidmanova at the ITF Hilton Head W35 main draw second round at the Van Der Meer Tennis Center on Thursday. Lopata will return to action on Friday, Oct. 25 where she will face WTA #598 Karina Miller in the singles quarterfinal.
