This may be their best football team since their 82 squad. Remember they came into Athens that year and gave us a game. They barely lost to Bama on the road a few weeks before they played us. They beat the gators a week before they played us. Think we beat them by a couple of TDs, but they were leading going into the 4th.  Terry Hogue had about 3 ints that game. I think they finished 8-3 that year. VD loved their coach George McIntire. Rumor was VD wanted him to take over when he retired.
