ATHENS, Ga. — The Georgia Bulldogs men's basketball (8-1) defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (4-5), 69-48, on Tuesday night at the Stegeman Coliseum. Three scorers reached double figures on the night led by freshman Asa Newell's 20-point double-double paired with 11 rebounds. After Newell's 20-point effort, graduate guard Dakota Leffew followed with 16 points while sophomore guard Silas Demary Jr. finished with 11 points. The Bulldogs will return to Atlanta where they will face Grand Canyon at the 2024 Holiday Hoopsgiving on Saturday, Dec. 14 with tipoff set at 6 p.m. ET at State Farm Arena.

ATHENS, Ga. – Junior goalkeeper Jordan Brown and graduate midfielder Nicole Vernis were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Team, as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon. Vernis was named to the Second Team, while Brown received Fourth Team honors, the first All-Region accolade for each player. Both were named to the Second Team All-SEC in November.

Anastasiia Lopata produced a spectacular junior fall tennis season as she will enter the spring at No. 29 in the singles rankings. Guillermina Grant earned her highest-career singles ranking, sliding 15 spots from her previous career-high No. 75 up to No. 60 to round out the Bulldogs in the singles rankings. In the doubles rankings, the tandem of Aysegul Mert and Guillermina Grant achieved great results as a newly formed pair in the fall where they will head into the spring slotted at No. 19. Hayden Mulberry earned her first career ITA ranking paired with Aysegul Mert at No. 43 in the doubles rankings, rounding out the five Bulldogs included on the end-of-fall list. The Bulldogs will resume through the winter break before returning to action for dual-match season in the spring. Georgia women's tennis' 2025 spring season schedule will be released mid-December.
