I think it’s legal…because we don’t own the airspace over our home.  That being said, I don’t see how me wanting to shoot my pellet gun (or slingshot) or throw rocks randomly in the “free” airspace isn’t allowable either. If the drone gets in the way, then the drone got in the way.
