I heard that too and attributed it either to him not seeing it through his tears or because he had his head up his ass. With him I tend to default to the latter.

He looked at the wrong roster sheet in front of him. Announcers don't know very many players on the teams they are covering. It wouldn't surprise me if Beck was the only player either announcer knew before the game started.
