Apparently the DA has decided to not drop the charges against Colbie.

My man in Athens just reported.

Has waived right to arraignment and will enter a not guilty plea later today, so he won't be available for the Sugar.

I just hope they have some real evidence and aren't just ruining this kid's life with no basis.

He is waving his arraignment and entering a not-guilty plea.

rhetorical question... cuz Athens and all ... but how to you not drop charges when the accuser says in an affidavit :
"To be clear, Colbie Young did not commit any act of violence toward me or my unborn child,” Young's accuser stated in the affidavit

Does he have other witnesses?

Note to self, don’t go out late looking for an argument..if you do, have your phone on and get the video..as Buckcherry would say.

I remember a guy, years ago... FSU QB I want to say... His dad had him record every time he had sex so the girl couldn't come back later and say it wasn't consensual. They took a lot of heat for it, but these days it seems like you need a camera on full time just in general.
You never know what may happen.

So he doesn't have any rights in this stuff? Like a speedy trial? And does this mean it has to go to trial, or is it him against this 'solicitor'?

Man, if this isn't just like the Adam Anderson thing in regards to MONTHS of BS for a chance to be around a female that has it in her mind to ruin you.

Bummer, but can't say I'm surprised at anything the ACC Government does.

Just read this online since apparently I don't understand the 'why' of all this:
Key points about waiving arraignment:
Purpose: It allows the legal process to move forward more quickly without the need for a formal reading of charges in court.

Per Jake Rowe - Colbie is filing to get the trial date pushed up to Jan. 6

I'm not a lawyer but it seems to me that Colbie's lawyer could petition the judge to dismiss the case since the solicitor does not have a victim in the case.
