NEW YORK - Nielsen today shared its first-ever college football conference champions and overall team rankings based on total season average viewership, with the University of Georgia ranking as the most-watched team of the 2024 regular season. Here are the top 10 teams of the 2024 season (average total viewership per game):

  1. University of Georgia (8.6 million viewers)
  2. Ohio State University (6.8 million viewers)
  3. University of Alabama (6.6 million viewers)
  4. University of Texas (6.4 million viewers) 
  5. University of Tennessee (5.4 million viewers)
  6. University of Michigan (5.2 million viewers)
  7. Texas A&M University (4.9 million viewers)
  8. Louisiana State University (4.8 million viewers)
  9. University of Kentucky (4.5 million viewers)
  10. University of Florida (4.3 million viewers) 
Georgia was boosted by its matchups against Alabama in week five (12 million viewers) and SEC newcomer Texas in week 8 (13 million viewers). The latter stands as the most-watched game of the regular season.

BUDAPEST, Hungary – Four members of the University of Georgia men's swimming and diving team competed in action Wednesday at the 2024 World Aquatics Short Course Championships at the Duna Arena. In the men's 100-meter backstroke final, junior Ruard van Renen of South Africa finished eighth with a new personal-best time of 49.61. Elsewhere in the 100m freestyle, sophomore Tomas Koski set a new Finnish national record with a 20th-place time of 47.13. Redshirt sophomore Kristian Pitshugin, representing Israel, finished 33rd in the men's 100m breaststroke with a time of 58.67, followed by junior Steven Insixiengmay in 49th place for Laos with a new PB of 1:00.36.

WACO, Texas – University of Georgia equestrian's junior Tessa Brown and freshman Shaelyn Boutelle have been named Arion Sellier Rider of the Month for Fences and Horsemanship for the month of November, the National Collegiate Equestrian Association announced Wednesday. The Bulldogs are enjoying a two-month break for competition before returning to Bishop for the start of the spring season on Feb. 2.
