I'm not sure cold weather will be as big advantage in college playoffs...

This isn't the nfl where teams play all of December and January (if in the playoffs).  These northern schools don't play in cold weather, maybe 1 game a year.  Not to mention they have indoor practice facilities, so I doubt they practice in it
