ATHENS, Ga. — Behind a dominant shooting performance, the Georgia women's basketball team closed out its non-conference schedule with a win over Ohio, 83-50, on Saturday afternoon. Georgia will open 2025 and SEC play on the road against Vanderbilt on Thursday, Jan. 2, with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m ET.
ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia men's basketball returns to action on Sunday when the Bulldogs host S.C. State in their final non-conference outing of the regular season. At 11-1, Georgia is off to its best start since 2001-02. With a win on Sunday, the Dogs would match their best beginning in 94 years (since the 1930-31 campaign). The Bulldogs are in the midst of three significant winning streaks – six games overall, 10 contests at Stegeman Coliseum and 26 home outings against non-conference opponents. Of 364 Division I men's basketball teams, Georgia entered this weekend as one of two teams ranked in the top-20 nationally in FG percentage (No. 16 at .504) and FG percentage defense (No. 17 at .384).
