Go for it dude!! As JC said below...I don't think he's that good. These comments would get me drug on one of the other boards Toasty frequents.
I few things: Bobo sucks...I get it and I sure don't disagree and Beck didn't get too much help from our group of maligned pass catchers this year. STill, he went on (I think I'm right here) a 3 game run where he completed 9 passes to the other team. The dude has some skill and I'm not here to crap on him...really. But, he also now falls far beyond my personal definition of a DGD.
Other points: There was a reason the team was almost giddy during the Texas game when Gunner came in. It was because Gunner is one of the guys on this team and they love him. I have no idea if he's that dude for next year...but, he is well respected as "one of us" when it comes to being a teammate. Beck was not. I'm not gonna say he was hated...he wasn't. He just didn't spend a ton of time with the team. He did his own thing and seemed to give off the "I deserve different treatment" vibe. That didn't go over well with certain players. I won't say who, but, there was a certain TE that got very few targets with Beck.
There's also a huge group (Toasty's board) again saying how bad this looks for UGA. Screw that!!! Who cares?? No one and I mean NO ONE is beyond the NIL world we live in now. Every team has and will get spurned for NIL dollars and greener pastures.
With the haul of receivers we got this week, if Gunner is serviceable, it's going to be hard for Bobo to even screw things up. He will...but, we will be fine.
Hang in there folks! It's going to be a wild and bumpy ride all the way through spring and the next portal window. We've got young guys that are going to push more older ones to the portal.
