ATHENS, Ga. — The No. 23 Georgia Bulldogs (14-4, 2-3 SEC) fell late to the No. 1 Auburn Tigers (17-1, 5-0 SEC), 70-68, on Saturday afternoon before a sell-out crowd of 10,523 at Stegeman Coliseum. Three Bulldogs reached double figures led by freshman forward Asa Newell's 16-point, 10-rebound double-double. After Newell's 16-point effort, sophomore guard Blue Cain and graduate guard Tyrin Lawrence each followed with 12 points. The Bulldogs will travel to Fayetteville, Ark. where they will face Arkansas on Wednesday, Jan. 22 with tipoff set at 9 p.m. ET at Bud Walton Arena. The game will be televised on SEC Network.

ATHENS, Ga.  – The University of Georgia men's tennis team defeated Mercer 7-0 and Presbyterian 7-0 in a double header in the Bulldogs' season opener on Saturday at the Lindsay Hopkins Indoor Facility. Georgia travels to Cambridge, Mass. to face off against No. 21 Harvard in the first round of the ITA Kickoff Weekend on Saturday, Jan. 25. 

ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 7/11 University of Georgia swimming and diving teams opened the 2025 portion of their schedules with a sweep of UNC Wilmington Saturday at Bauerle Pool at Gabrielsen Natatorium. The Georgia men prevailed in all 16 events during Saturday's meet, while the women's team earned 14 victories in competition. Georgia heads back on the road to take on No. 5/9 Tennessee in their annual meeting next Saturday in Knoxville.

ATHENS, Ga. - Lady Bulldogs basketball Host No. 12 Kentucky on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET. The Lady Bulldogs have won three out of the last four meetings against the Wildcats, including the last two games played in Athens.
