Five we need, IMO
#1
Jonathan Hooker writes in the UGA Wire:

The Georgia Bulldogs ended the 2025 recruiting cycle with another top three recruiting class. In the Kirby Smart era, UGA has landed nine consecutive top five recruiting classes and has signed the No. 1 class four times. Smart has been an elite recruiter and talent developer.

In the 2026 recruiting cycle here are five prospects that are can't miss for Smart and Georgia football.

5-star LB Tyler Atkinson
Tyler Atkinson has been on Georgia's radar since his freshman year. Now that he is the No. 1 linebacker in the class, it is all gas no brakes for Smart and Co. to get the in-state prospect to stay home. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound linebacker plays for Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia. He is drawing comparisons to Bulldog great Roquan SmithAtkinson has visited Georgia more than 20 times throughout his high school career. Georgia just needs to close the deal.

5-star QB Jared Curtis
Jared Curtis was once committed to Georgia but decommitted to explore more options. The recruitment of Curtis has become a national priority for top college football programs. Curtis possesses a rare combination of arm strength, football intelligence and poise. His commitment will be a game-changer.

He is a talent in the quarterback room that Georgia has not had in a long time. He released his top six schools and Georgia is in the thick of things. Expect Smart and staff to be all-in to get Curtis committed to the Bulldogs once again.

5-star Immanuel Iheanacho
Immanuel Iheanacho is a five-star offensive tackle out of Baltimore’s Georgetown Prep. Iheanacho, who is a member of the class of 2026, is the No. 2 prospect in the nation. He can start right away at the tackle position. The five-star has the potential to become an All-American before he goes pro: He has the power and grittiness that is missing within the UGA offensive line group. Iheanacho's recruitment is ramping up and Georgia will be in the fight until the end.

4-star RB Derrek Cooper
Four-star running back Derrek Cooper, an elite recruit out of Fort Lauderdale's Chaminade-Madonna Prep. Cooper, who is a member of the class of 2026, is the No. 2 running back. The running back has been a frequent visitor in Athens and has been a priority for UGA. Landing Cooper would be a significant victory for the Georgia Bulldogs and a major boost to their running back room.

4-star Savion Hiter
Four-star running back Savion Hiter is a top recruit out of Lousia County High School in Mineral, Virginia. Hiter is the No. 1 running back in the class of 2026. Hiter would be a significant get for Georgia because of how thin the Georgia running back room is growing.
