MARIETTA, Ga. –  The eighth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs posted a 6-4 road win over Kennesaw State Tuesday in front of a crowd of 990 at Kelly Memorial Field. Georgia (4-1) erased a 4-0 deficit as the bullpen tossed 7.1 innings of relief to extend its scoreless streak to 17 innings. In his Bulldog debut, junior Ryan Black (2-3, 2BB, HR, 2 RBI) smashed a game-tying home run in the eighth to make it 4-all and then added an RBI-single for an insurance run in the ninth. After opening the season with five road games, Georgia has its home opener Thursday at Foley Field against University Illinois Chicago. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.

ATHENS, Ga. – A podium finish and two impressive diving performances highlighted the second day of competition for Georgia at the 2025 SEC Swimming & Diving Championships Tuesday at Bauerle Pool at Gabrielsen Natatorium. After two days of competition, Redshirt senior Luca Urlando, sophomore Tomas Koski, graduate Jake Magahey, and senior Reese Branzell earned bronze with a school record time of 6:05.43, besting the previous top mark set at the 2022 NCAA Championships. the Georgia men sit in second place with 158 points, while the Georgia women stand ninth with 104.5 points.

ATHENS, Ga.----Former University of Georgia baseball standout Charlie Condon along with track and field Paralympian Jarryd Wallace are among the 39 athletes named a semifinalist for the 95th AAU James E. Sullivan Award, the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) announced Tuesday. Since 1930, the AAU James E. Sullivan Award has been presented to the most exceptional athlete at the collegiate, Olympic, or other similarly elite level in the United States. Condon, a 6-6, 216-pound native of Marietta, Ga., posted one of the greatest seasons in collegiate baseball history as he swept every national award in 2024.He claimed the USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award, the Dick Howser Trophy and the Bobby Bragan Slugger Award Winner and then was a first-round draft pick (third overall selection) of the Colorado Rockies. Jarryd Wallace, a UGA graduate born in Athens, Ga., began running as an able-bodied athlete, won a state title for Oconee County High School, and signed a scholarship with the Bulldogs. However, after multiple surgeries due to compartment syndrome, he opted to have his right leg amputated and vowed to return to the sport as a Paralympian. He became a five-time world champion and four-time Paralympian, competing as a sprinter and in the long jump. Jarryd is the son of former six-time national champion Georgia women's tennis coach Jeff Wallace, who along with his wife Sabina, were former UGA student-athletes as well.

ATHENS, Ga. – University of Georgia senior swimmers Jackson Bates and Abby McCulloh were named to the 2025 Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, as announced by the conference Tuesday morning. The SEC Community Service Team highlights a student-athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts. For Bates, this is his second-consecutive placement on the team, while this is the first for McCulloh.
