GREENVILLE, S.C. — Four players scored in double figures — led by 19 points from senior guard Asia Avinger — as the Georgia women's basketball team defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks, 79-74, in the first round of the SEC tournament at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Georgia advances to face the No. 5 seed Oklahoma Sooners on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. ET. 
Joining Avinger in double figures was De'Mauri Flournoy with 15, Trinity Turner with 11 and Mia Woolfolk with 10. The Lady Bulldogs trailed by as much as 11 points at the four-minute mark of the third quarter. Georgia outscored the Razorbacks 25-14 in the fourth period. 

ATHENS, Ga. – Powered by five home runs, fifth-ranked Georgia overcame a nine-run outburst by Georgia State to defeat the Panthers 16-10 Wednesday at Foley Field and extended its winning streak to 12 games. Georgia (15-1) begins a three-game series Friday against Columbia at 3 p.m.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. —Morgan Smith carded a team-leading round of 73 on the final day of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate as the Bulldogs finished 12th as a team at Long Cove Club. Georgia will return to action for its penultimate regular-season tournament when the Bulldogs compete at the Chattanooga Classic on March 28-30. The tournament will be held at The Honors Course, with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga serving as the host school.

ATHENS, Ga. – Eight members of the University of Georgia women's swimming and diving team were invited to the 2024 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming & Diving Championships Wednesday morning. The eight Bulldogs, joined by four relay alternates, will head to Federal Way, Washington for the event, running March 19-22 at the Weyerhaeuser Aquatic Center. With eight selections, Georgia is tied with Alabama for the fourth-most among SEC institutions.
