His production has slowed a bit, but he was a cheap get for them I guess.

Closer to home with 10 million must have sounded pretty good to him.  I hope he shows out next year for them...long suffering Falcons fan here, it is what it is.  Smile

Probably realizing his career is on the downhill side at 32.  Getting back closer to home and still make good money has to be a strong incentive.  I hope he does well if for no other reason than to make the Falcons wake up and realize they need to sign Georgia players.

Only picking them up after they play well for others, and never drafting...  They effectively have a minor league team in their back yard and let other teams steal all the talent.

As much absolute mismanagement of roster as we've seen out of the falcons over the years, nothing comes close to the situation they are in right now with Cousins, and now letting their center get away, who by the way, has been one of the top run block centers in the NFL on top of being one of their best o-linemen, and Grady Jarrett.

Maybe they are sandbagging on a willingness to trade Cousins and really hope to explore options with him that will allow them to recover some of the dumbest money they have ever spent on a single player, but he went to Blank and said he wanted to be traded to a team where he could start and Blank said no.  I'll reserve expectations on 2025 until after this draft and any outcome with Cousins, but they have to make up some of this absolute stupidity.

Any team with an interest in Cousins isn't going to trade for him...they can pick him up for peanuts when the Falcons have no choice but to cut him...I totally agree, signing Cousins was one of the worst moves I've seen lately..probably not as bad as Cleveland and Watson...

JC said signed, not drafted.  Like the guy we were HoTDing about, Floyd.   You make a good point but it's also off point.
