GREENSBORO, GA — The Georgia men's golf team battled through 24 mph winds to secure their spot in the top three after the second round of the Linger Longer Invitational at The Landing at Reynolds Lake Oconee on Monday Mar. 17. No. 37 Georgia ended the second round tied for second place after shooting seven-over in the second round. The podium is topped by No. 18 Alabama with No. 35 USF tied in second with Georgia. They are joined in the field by No. 17 South Carolina, Augusta, Charlotte, Elon, Franics Marion, Georgia State, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Louisiana Tech, Mercer, Ohio State, South Alabama, and Wofford.

ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia's Robbie Burnett has been named the Southeastern Conference Baseball Player of the Week; the league announced Monday. Burnett, a 5-10, 191-pound senior infielder/outfielder from Franklinton, N.C., batted .667 (8-for-12) with eight runs scored, two doubles, two home runs and nine RBI in leading Georgia to an SEC series win over No. 23 Kentucky.
