FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – The University of Georgia women's swimming and diving team opened the NCAA Division I Women's Swimming & Diving Championships with a season-best performance Wednesday evening at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center. Following the first night of competition, Georgia ranks 14th overall with 12 points. Stanford and Virginia are tied at the top with 74 points. Georgia earned Second Team All-America honors with a 11th-place time of 6:56.04 in the 800y Freestyle Relay.

ATHENS, Ga. – The 13th-ranked Georgia softball team  run ruled the Georgia State Panthers on Wednesday evening at Jack Turner Stadium, 8-0 in five innings. Georgia climbs to 22-6 on the season.

ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia sprinters Aaliyah Butler and Will Floyd have each won Southeastern Conference indoor awards after helping to lead their teams to second place finishes at the NCAA Indoor Championships, according to a league announcement Wednesday. Butler, a junior from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., was named the SEC Women's Runner of the Year while Floyd, a sophomore from Seattle, Wash., was named the SEC Men's Newcomer Runner of the Year.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Gabriele Vulpitta was named the Co-Freshman of the Week in Men's tennis by the Southeastern conference on Wednesday afternoon. In his first season with the Bulldogs, the freshman currently has a 5-5 singles record, 3-2 in conference, and in doubles, Vulpitta holds a 6-1 record. The former junior Wimbledon doubles champion and Roland Garros doubles finalist has played exclusively on court six in conference play while also teaming up with Miguel Perez Peña and Niels Ratiu in doubles play.

ATHENS, Ga. – The Georgia equestrian team will serve as the second seed and host the 2025 SEC Equestrian Championship March 28-29 at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, N.C.

WACO, Texas – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association has named the University of Georgia's Camboro as March Horse of the Month, the association announced Wednesday.
Camboro was donated to the Georgia equestrian team in 2024 by Richard Thomas Jordan. Camboro competes in Fences for the Bulldogs. He has recorded a season-high 95 twice this season, with three scores in the 90-or-above range.
