FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Seniors Rachel Stege and Abby McCulloh added to their All-America honors with top-16 finishes at the NCAA Division I Women's Swimming & Diving Championships Thursday evening at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center. Following two nights of competition, Georgia ranks 13th overall with 38 points. Virginia leads the standings with 225 points, followed by Stanford (178) and Texas (152). Stege earned her third-consecutive First Team All-America honor with a time of 4:36.41 in the 500y Freestyle, finishing eighth overall. McCulloh picked up Second Team All-America accolades with a 12th-place finish of 4:37.99. Eboni McCarty, sophomore Helena Jones , graduate Julianna Stephens, freshman Katie Belle Sikes, teamed up to earn Second Team All-America honors with a 12th-place time in the 200y Freestyle Relay.
WICHITA, Kan. — The 9-seed Georgia Bulldogs (20-13, 8-10 SEC) fell to the 8-seed Gonzaga Bulldogs (26-8, 14-4 WCC), 89-68, in the NCAA Tournament Round of 64 on Thursday afternoon at INTRUST Bank Arena. Four scorers reached double figures headlined by freshman forward Asa Newell's 20 points on the day. After Newell's 20-point performance, sophomore guard Silas Demary Jr. followed with 15 points while sophomore guard Blue Cain and freshman center Somto Cyril each finished with 10 each.
ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia had four U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) South Region accolades, according to a recent announcement. Head coach Caryl Smith Gilbert was named the Coach of the Year on the men and women's side while associate head coach Karim Abdel Wahab garnered Women's Assistant Coach of the Year in the region. In addition, senior Elena Kulichenko was voted the Women's Field Athlete of the Year.
ATHENS, Ga. - The 13th-ranked Georgia softball team welcomes No. 3 LSU to Athens this weekend for a three-game SEC series at Jack Turner Stadium. The series begins Friday at 6 p.m. with first pitch set for 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

ATHENS, Ga. — The No. 1 Georgia women's tennis team (14-1, 7-0 SEC) is set to host another home weekend of competition where it will take on Arkansas (4-10, 1-6 SEC) on Friday, March 21 at 4 p.m. ET followed by No. 12 Oklahoma (11-4, 4-3 SEC) on Sunday, March 23 at 1 p.m. ET at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
ORLANDO/ATLANTA - Georgia track & field will open the 2025 outdoor season this weekend, splitting the squads between the Black and Gold Invitational and the Yellow Jacket Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The Black and Gold Invitational, hosted by UCF, will serve as the outdoor season-opener for most of Georgia's squad while a group of five throwers and five distance runners will begin their season at Georgia Tech's Yellow Jacket Invitational. Friday marks the first of six regular-season competition weekends for the Bulldogs during the 2025 season. Georgia will join over 40 teams in competing at the Black and Gold Invitational to kick off the outdoor season. The Yellow Jacket Invitational will feature a smaller field of 15 teams which includes Auburn, Austin Peay, Belmont, Connecticut, Georgia, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, Middle Tennessee State, Missouri, North Georgia, SCAD, Thomas, and UAB.
NORMAN, Okla./FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 30 University of Georgia men's tennis team is set for its second full SEC road trip of the season facing No. 24 Oklahoma on Friday, Mar. 21, 2025, at the Headington Family Tennis Center before taking on No. 36 Arkansas on Sunday, Mar. 23, 2025, at the Billingsley Tennis Center.
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – Georgia equestrian's Sophia Pilla has collected her second-straight monthly award after being tabbed Southeastern Conference Co-Flat Rider of the Month for March, the conference office announced Thursday. Pilla is currently 8-3 this season with wins and is 4-2 against SEC opponents. She has picked up wins over all top-five teams in the NCEA rankings. The Bulldogs will travel to Mill Spring, N.C. to host the SEC Championship at the Tryon International Equestrian Center next week. The meet will be a two-day event over March 28-29 and will conclude with an SEC Champion being crowned following Saturday's competition.
GREENSBORO, GA — The Georgia men's golf team battled through windy conditions with resolve to take home first place in the Linger Longer Invitational at The Landing at Reynolds Lake Oconee on Tuesday Mar. 18. The team shot a collective 30-under over the course of the three-day tournament with five Bulldogs in the top-ten. No. 37 Georgia ended the tournament in first place after shooting a collective 30-under. Georgia was followed by No. 18 Alabama who shot 28-under and No. 35 USF who shot 21-under. They were joined in the field by No. 17 South Carolina, Augusta, Charlotte, Elon, Franics Marion, Georgia State, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Louisiana Tech, Mercer, Ohio State, South Alabama, and Wofford. The Bulldogs will be back in action on Mar. 27 for The Goodwin in San Francisco, California.
