RALEIGH, N.C. --- A school record fell for the second-straight weekend at the hands of the Georgia track & field team as Ryan Olree shattered the program's 10,000-meter run record at the Raleigh Relays on Thursday. Olree crossed the finish line in 28:38.98 to topple the 18-year-old school record set by Ian Burrell in 2007 (28:48.78). The sophomore ended the race as runner-up to highlight Georgia's day in Raleigh.
FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Three All-American swims powered another strong night for the University of Georgia men's swimming and diving team at the 2025 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming & Diving Championships Thursday evening at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center. Following two nights of competition, Georgia stands in seventh place with 92 points. Texas leads the overall standings with 190 points, followed by California in second with 159.5 and Indiana in third at 146. 500y Freestyle – Graduate Jake Magahey surged in the final yards to finish fourth. Sophomore Tomas Koski finished just behind in fifth place. 200y Individual Medley – Redshirt senior Luca Urlando prevailed wire-to-wire in the consolation final Urlando finished 14th.
ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 28 University of Georgia men's tennis team beat No. 56 Vanderbilt, 4-1, on Thursday evening at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. The Bulldogs improve to 12-7 (6-3 SEC) overall, and the Commodores fall to 8-12 (1-9 SEC). The Bulldogs will remain at home to host a doubleheader on Saturday with No. 49 Ole Miss beginning at 1:00 p.m. E.T and North Carolina A&T State beginning at 5:00 p.m. In between the doubles and singles of Saturday's match against the Rebels, the 1985 National Championship team will be recognized, and the first 100 fans at the match will receive a free '1985 National Champions' shirt.
ATHENS, Ga. — The No. 1 Georgia women's tennis team (16-1, 9-0 SEC) is set to travel for its second-to-last road weekend of competition, starting with No. 32 Alabama (9-8, 3-6 SEC) on Friday, March 28 at 6 p.m. ET in Tuscaloosa, Ala. followed by No. 66 Mississippi State (10-9, 0-9 SEC) on Sunday, March 30 at 1 p.m. ET in Starkville, Miss. The Bulldogs lead the all-time series 47-5 against the Crimson Tide. Against Mississippi State, Georgia dons a perfect 48-0 record all-time.

ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia track and field junior sprinter Autumn Wilson has been included as one of 20 semifinalists nationwide for the 2025 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars recognition. Wilson, a native of Austin, Texas, is one of only three student-athletes from the Southeastern Conference on the list honoring those who are at least sophomores, who have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, have been active on their campuses and had success in athletics.
CHICAGO – University of Georgia freshman Mya Townes was called up to the United States Under-18 Women's National Team Camp, as announced by U.S. head coach Jen Klein Thursday afternoon. Townes was one of 24 players selected for the roster, which will train with the U-19 WNT in Fayetteville, Georgia from March 31-8. The Aldie, Virginia native was one of only six collegiate players chosen to participate and the only Southeastern Conference athlete selected.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The 15th-ranked Georgia softball team is back on the road for a three-game series this weekend at Alabama. The series kicks off Friday evening at 7 p.m. ET at Rhoads Stadium. Saturday's game will start at 3 p.m. ET with Sunday's finale set to air on ESPN2 beginning at noon ET.
ATHENS, Ga. -- The Georgia equestrian team will open up the 2025 SEC Championship against Texas A&M on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, N.C. Georgia (6-5, 4-2 SEC) has been given the No. 2 seed, while Texas A&M (7-6, 2-4 SEC) has been given the No. 3 seed based on each team's Southeastern Conference (SEC) regular season winning percentage.
ATHENS, Ga. — The Georgia women's golf team will compete in the penultimate tournament of the regular season on Friday through Sunday, traveling to Ooltewah, Tenn., for the Chattanooga Classic. The three-day tournament, hosted by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, will be held at The Honors Course and consist of 18 holes of competition on each day.
