OCALA,Fla. - The seventh-seeded University of Georgia equestrian team upset the No. 2-seeded Auburn Tigers in the NCEA National Championship quarterfinal at the World Equestrian Center on Thursday afternoon, 13-4. The Bulldogs swept the Reining competition 5-0, with Shelby Lynch's 71.3 as the highest score. Sophia Pilla earned the highest score in the Flat rotation with an 86.7 on Campino, as Georgia took four points in the Flat competition. Georgia will face No. 6-seeded Texas A&M after their narrow 10(1568.75) - 10(1537.67) victory against Oklahoma State University this evening.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Sophomores Ady Wahl and Lily Smith of the Georgia GymDogs recorded stand-out routines on the floor and vault rotations, respectively, as individual competitors at the 2025 NCAA Gymnastics National Championship on Thursday evening at Dickies Arena. Wahl, a Zanesville, Ohio native, vaulted a 9.8750 to tie for tenth overall in her first career showing at nationals. Her routine earned Wahl a spot as an NCAA First Team All-American after posting the third highest score on vault in the first session. Recording a 9.9375, Smith secured fifth overall on the floor rotation. Smith also earned NCAA First Team All-American status after ranking top four on the event in session one, her first time to receive the honor on floor. The sophomore entered postseason ranked 14th nationally in the event. 

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Junior left-hander JD Thompson threw 120 pitches over eight innings with 14 strikeouts to lead No. 19 Vanderbilt to a 3-1 win over fifth-ranked Georgia Thursday at Hawkins Field.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The University of Georgia men's tennis team bowed out of the 2025 SEC Tournament falling 4-3 to the No. 10-seed Oklahoma Sooners on Thursday night at the Carolina Tennis Center. Georgia slips to 15-11 (8-6 SEC) while the Sooners climb to 16-9 (7-7 SEC).

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. --- Mark Trammell recorded a top-10 finish in the men's 5,000-meter run to open competition for the Georgia track & field teams at the Wake Forest Invitational on Thursday. Trammell clocked a 14:17.87 in the open 5,000m to finish eighth.

AUBURN, Ala. — The No. 2 Georgia women's tennis team (20-3, 13-2 SEC) is set open postseason play at the 2025 Southeastern Conference Championships starting with a quarterfinal date against No. 10 Tennessee (17-6, 10-5 SEC) on Friday, April 18 at 1 p.m. ET at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.

ATHENS, Ga. – University of Georgia redshirt senior Luca Urlando led a group of Bulldogs named to the 2025 All-Southeastern Conference Team, as announced by the conference office in Birmingham Thursday morning. For the All-SEC Teams, the First Team consists of the top finisher in each event at the SEC Championships, and the Second Team consists of the second- and third-place finishers in each event. Graduate Jake Magahey, seniors Reese Branzell, Abby McCulloh, and Rachel Stege, and sophomore Tomas Koski were named to the All-SEC Second Team.
