I'm sorry to hear that. She was young, cancer sucks.

Jeff seems like a good guy and I would like to see how he could do as play by play for football games.

With every football game now televised, I wonder if radio ratings are down...back in the day, you would be lucky to see more than 1 or 2 games on TV.

I would think radio ratings have to be down in general, not only for live sports.  I don't think young people listen to the radio much at all these days.  I think streaming services are where they get their music and podcasts are where they get their news.

I still enjoy listening to a game on the radio but I'm old.  BITD, people brought small radios into the games with them to listen to Larry while they watched the game so they could get the injury reports and Loran's sideline information.  Without any sort of replay available, Larry could give details and tidbits after the play was over that you might not have seen during the live action.

My freshman year, we only had two televised games all season, UF and tech.  Both were away from Athens so all of the home games had no tv timeouts or any media stoppages at all.  I remember those non tv games took about 2 1/2 hours to play from kickoff to the final whistle. In the 1980 season, there were only three televised games, SC, UF and the Sugar Bowl.  It was a big deal having the SC game on tv in Athens.

Damn, had no idea she was battling it.  Listening to he and DJ do the Diamond Dawgs you almost feel like you know them.  Hate to hear this.
