REM at Sanford Stadium? This post turned into hour long search Legends at UGA venues.
#1
AJC Article  about bringing some bands to Sanford Stadium. Looking for ways to bring in additional revenue.

The last time Sanford Stadium hosted a standalone concert came back in 2013, when Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett, Jake Owen and Luke Bryan all performed in the venue.

Ludacris did perform in Sanford Stadium as a part of Georgia’s 2016 Spring Game.

The ideal window would fall after spring football practice and before Georgia’s spring commencement, which are both held inside the stadium. The spring game this year was on April 12. Spring commencement this year took place May 9.

TRD Addendum

There is probably going to be some Athens competition now with the new Akins Ford Arena. I saw the B-52's there recently

There is a pretty awesome Set List for Legion Field why doesn't UGA utilize this for more music revenue? Hasn't been a concert there since 2015.

Set List for

Athens Music Factory

40 Watt Club
Oh Man there are 187 pages for this.

I always wondered why they don't bring stadium shows to Athens. Maybe it's just not as lucrative as the major cities to bring all of that, plus staging and equipment probably creates a real logistics nightmare. Aldean was the first non-football event concert in the stadium. They probably learned a lot from that. They had to agree to replace the turf as well.

I saw Pablo Cruise at the Coliseum in 1979.  I don't know if they made your list.  They put on a great show.  They opened for Atlanta Rhythm Section.

Cool '70s sound

Not sure how far back that list from Setlist goes but a couple missing that I saw at Stegman (‘67/‘68) were Glen Campbell and Bobby Gentry (Gentry was awful but Glen Campbell gave one of the best performances I ever saw)

Only other one on the list that I was there for was Dionne Warwick. She was way late, came out drunk or high on something and had to hang onto the curtain while singing. Didn’t last long, not sure if her team shut it down or if the school kicked her out…
