ATHENS - Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have landed another commitment in the 2026 class.
Three-star OL Zachary Lewis has committed to UGA football. Once regarded as an impressive “under the radar” prospect, Lewis earned a Bulldog offer this spring and is fresh off an official visit.
Now, his dream has come true and the North Gwinnett Bulldog is a future Georgia Bulldog.
“Georgia has always had a special place in my heart because I have a grown up a Dawgs fan and grown up to love football. Being able to go to UGA is like a dream come true and all the glory goes to God! UGA is doing something special and I would love to be apart of it! I want to be developed as a Dawg!!”
“A couple of the biggest takeaways I got from this weekend was how close the coaches and players were and the passion that the players have to get better and get developed by the best coaches in the nation. It’s very evident that UGA wants to develop their players not only as athletes but as men as well! Coach Smart continuously stated that they have a saying for this season and it’s Fire, Passion, and Energy!”
What will Lewis bring to Athens?
Size, potential, and a mean (ed) streak in the run game. An above-average pass-protector and a mauler in the run game, Lewis brings good strength, mobility, and a max-effort style of play.
One of the top right tackles across the state last season, Lewis is a promising offensive lineman on the rise out of North Gwinnett who has a bright future at guard at the next level. The 6-foot-5, 285-pounder was a bully last season who had a giant season against quality competition on a weekly basis. Playing in one of the most talented regions across the state, Lewis more than held his own week after week. He plays with a mean streak and has no problem burying defenders into the ground. He’s one of the top returning linemen in the state and is bound for a massive final season in 2025.
