Sad to hear this morning, WRD. He was a legend here and I’m sure in your family even more. Prayers for all of y’all.

I'm so sad to see this. UJD was and is a fixture within the lives of so many people, for several decades, through this community. Like many have said, never a mean word came from him. He left his mark here among us, and it will continue.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You and your family remain in my prayers.
John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

1 Timothy 2:5-6

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the witness for this proper time.

Acts 4:12

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

I am so sad to hear this news. Gary and me have been friends since 1954 when we met in the first grade at Westside elementary school in Warner Robins and later were classmates at UGA. We shared a common bond in our love for UGA and he was the biggest fan i have ever known. He will be missed 4sure and i will always treasure our friendship. Skip you and all of the family will be in my thoughts and prayers during the coming days. I am just happy that he is now without pain and suffering in Heaven.

Wow. It’s hard to believe a man I never met has me tearing up. He set such a fine example of kind and humble communication with anyone that spends time on HOTD. Countless times ii have read his threads and thought that’s the kind of man we should all strive to be. So very sad but I like so many more fully believe he’s in peace and will be looking down smiling on Sanford stadium.
