Preppers
#1
Are any of ya'll preppers ?   I may have gone crazy, but I have a stupid amount of dry foods, ammo and such.   I don't like the idea of being dependent on a 3 day food chain supply at the grocery store.   Also, I am completely paranoid about A.I. -   I blame The Terminator.

I wouldn't consider myself a prepper but, I have several weapons, a bunch of ammo, plenty of water, dry food, and electricity to last me probably 6-8 months.

Not really. I have some non perishable food, maybe enough for a couple weeks if I couldn't get to anything else. I have some guns and ammo, probably a few hundred rounds of pistol ammo 9mm/.357/.380/.22, 50 rounds of .308 and a few hundred rounds of assorted shotgun ammo ranging from #8 birdshot up to around #4 high brass duck loads. I have a generator and enough fuel to last three or four days if I'm conservative.

Honestly, I don't particularly care to live in some dystopian tribal warfare post apocalyptic world. I'll hang around as long as I can and if TSHTF in a big way, I'll use up my ammo taking out as many thugs as I can and then just go on home.

Them's rookie numbers, gotta get them numbers up!

I have enough guns and ammo, that if the SHTF big time, I can go around the neighborhood and collect all the supplies my non-gun owning neighbors have been saving up for me.

Seriously though.....I got enough non-perishable food to last a month easily.  And if my place ever got searched, you'd see me on the news as that guy who had an arsenal.

I'd just protect me and mine for as long as I could, which when the hordes start coming this way out of Atlanta/Decatur, might not have to be that long.

I’m with Samjo..my new build will have a basement with walk in root cellar. We keep about three months of food in the pantry now. Garage freezer is always full. Enough ammo to fight off the the zombies until my trigger finger falls off.

We always keep our pantry stocked with a minimum of 90 days of canned food. 2 freezers are full too but most of that will likely have to eaten quickly in a long term blackout because of insufficient solar power and only a few hundred pounds of propane to run generator.
We also learned during covid to keep at least 6 month supply of TP on hand at all times
Ammo goal is 10K rounds for each caliber weapon I own. There in .22LR, 9MM, and 5.56. But more than one firearm in those calibers.
Long ways from the 10K goal (less than 500 rds) in 6.5 Creedmore, 30-06, 12 gauge & 20 gauge.
